Collaboration with EHSAS Foundation of Pakistan
I have been corresponding with a man in Pakistan, Kashif Soomro, who, with a group of others, is trying to find funding for a project to test Pakistanis for hepatitis B and C and HIV. This group, known as EHSAS (http://www.ehsasfoundation.org), also wants to educate Pakistanis about these diseases and provide counseling to those afflicted. They have already held a few hepatitis C camps in which they found the infection rate to be running between 14 and 25% of the population. I am working with Mr. Soomro to write a proposal to present to various organizations for grants.
Here is the current state of the proposal minus the budgeting and member details: I am also pursuing Rotary Clubs in Karachi to see if we can get a grant through collaboration between a Pakistani Rotary and an American Rotary, such as the Ann Arbor (MI) Sunrise Rotary to which I belong. Please help us find funding for this worthy project! |
Help us Win the Fight!Help support the fight against Hepatitis C by purchasing our cookbook, Cooking Around the World. All proceeds go to benefit Hepatitis C research.
